IMPHAL DOUBLES HIS SCORE UNDER SAUNDERS

Imphal doubled his score for the season with an impressive success from the front at Bath on Tuesday in the closing mile and five furlong handicap.

He looked every inch an improving young stayer as he saw off the opposition with plenty to spare.

Imphal benefitted from a positive ride from stable apprentice Tyler Saunders who dictated the pace throughout, and gave him a breather round the final bend before pressing on again for a decisive victory.

Saunders reported “Imphal is a nice, young horse who was a bit fresh and bounced off the ground.

“He enjoyed himself out in front and is progressing well”.

While the handicapper will have his say after this latest stylish triumph you’d imagine there is plenty more to come from Imphal who was very strong at the finish.
