Noble Behest extended the fine form of the stable’s three year olds by doubling his score for the season in a Class 4 two mile handicap at Thirsk on Friday.

The form of his first success seventeen days earlier at Chelmsford had already been franked by the runner up.

Raised 6 lbs for that victory Noble Behest looked a progressive stayer as he led over two furlongs out at Thirsk before keeping on strongly to see off the persistent challenge of the 6-4 favourite On Fire by one and a half lengths.

He was the 18th winner of the season for Marcus Tregoning whose in form team is maintaining a healthy strike rate of 20 per cent.

There should be more to come from Noble Behest who runs in the colours of an enthusiastic team called The FOPS.
