STRENGTH OF SIR TITAN SHOWN AT WOLVERHAMPTON

STRENGTH OF SIR TITAN SHOWN AT WOLVERHAMPTON

Sir Titan continued the sparkling form of the team with an impressive success in a median auction race over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Just over half an hour later two year old debutante Exceedingly Diva came tantalisingly close to completing a double for the yard at Windsor as she finished a close second with stable companion Serjeant Painter just behind in fourth place.

A bargain buy at 6,000 guineas as a yearling Sir Titan showed distinct promise on his second outing at Newbury in September and the form of that race has since been well franked.

Gelded over the winter, he proved much too good for his rivals on Monday on his first attempt on the all weather, travelling comfortably from the off before easing into the lead just over a furlong out and readily pulling clear in the closing stages.

At the line Sir Titan, who races in the colours of Wedgewood Estates, was three and a half lengths ahead of the runner up My Illusionist.

Marcus Tregoning will be looking forward to plotting an ambitious programme for his latest winner after this eye-catching triumph.
