Valuable win for Dance The Dream

Dance the Dream gained the most valuable success of her career in the £30,000 Sir Gordon Richards Handicap over twelve furlongs at Leicester on Monday.

She was given a fine ride by stable apprentice Tyler Saunders who has made excellent progress this year and was gaining his biggest victory in the saddle.

Saunders was always handily placed on the beautifully bred Dance the Dream before launching her on an irresistible run that saw her lead just over a furlong out on her way to beating Top Tug by one and a half lengths.

This was her second triumph at the course and she also ran very well at Leicester last time when she was beaten only half a length by the smart Blakeney Point in another valuable Class 2 handicap.

Having trained both her sire Sir Percy and dam Shadow Dancing with great success Marcus Tregoning will have been thrilled to see Dance The Dream continue the family’s fine tradition.

He will also have taken considerable pleasure at seeing his talented apprentice continue to make the most of his chances for the yard.

Saunders commented “Dance The Dream stays well and I am sure she will go on to even better things.

“It is great to repay some of the faith Marcus has shown in me”.
