EPSOM WIN FOR FEYHA
A return to a mile and a half paid off for Feyha who stayed on stoutly to land a Class 6 handicap at Epsom on Thursday racing off a mark of 63 in the hands of Rhys Clutterbuck.
A jaunty filly by Marcus Tregoning’s Derby hero Sir Percy, she won once for Andrew Balding last year before being purchased eleven months ago for 12,000 guineas by Michael Blanshard at Tattersalls Autumn sales.
Feyha has run consistently all season and despite having only two horses behind her heading down Tattenham Hill she kept on resolutely in the centre of the course before leading inside the final furlong and winning with something to spare by one and a half lengths from Ectocross. Blanshard and fellow owner Andrew Gay were on hand with others members of the Savernake syndicate in the hallowed Epsom winner’s circle.
