Impressive Victory for Tap Dancer at Bath
Tap Dancer defied testing conditions at Bath with an impressive victory by four and a quarter lengths in a ten furlong Class 5 novice race ridden by Kieran Shoemark .
She settled nicely in the rear before moving stylishly into contention over two furlongs out and stretching clear in a willing fashion in the closing stages.
Marcus Tregoning has handled several generations of Tap Dancer’s family and is confident she will make her mark at a higher level next year.
Among those he trained have been Tap Dancer’s dam Hazy Dancer who won as a two year old at Lingfield in 2008.
Tregoning said “I like Tap Dancer a lot and think she will be very nice in 2025”.
After a rewarding campaign Tregoning will head to Newmarket next week in high spirits ahead of the Book 2 sale at Tattersalls.
He has long had a knack of buying talented youngsters at bargain basement prices and famously bought his Derby winner Sir Percy for 16,000 guineas as a yearling.
