DARTINGTON WINS AT BRIGHTON
Dartington opened his account for the season with a fluent success in a Class 5 handicap over ten furlongs at Brighton on Sunday in the colours of Guy Brook.
August has been a fruitful month for Marcus Tregoning’s team and Dartington’s turn looked near after he ran so well last time at Salisbury despite suffering interference at a crucial point of the race.
He had run consistently on all three starts this year since being gelded and seemed to relish the trip and the undulating nature of the course as he stretched clear of the Brighton specialist Contingency Fee in the final furlong.
Dartington was given a confident ride by Cieren Fallon who waited patiently before squeezing through a narrow gap over a furlong out and quickly seizing the initiative.
