CORRIAMO COMPLETES A HAT-TRICK

Corriamo completed a hat-trick in just over a month with another pleasing victory in a nursery handicap at Sandown on Friday off a mark of 70 in the colours of Aurelius Racing.

He began his winning sequence at Leicester on August 11, won tidily at Sandown thirteen days ago and was again firmly in charge in the closing stages on Friday despite idling in front.

He seemed well suited by the step up in trip to a mile on soft ground as he came from last to first in the hands of Kieran Shoemark.

Corriamo’s sire Mohaather proved a superstar for Marcus Tregoning who will have gained great pleasure from this latest success by an improving colt who possesses a potent turn of foot.

He says “Corriamo is a very strong horse and once he’s had a winter on him I’d expect him to see him in better races next year. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards.”
