DECISIVE 1st WIN FOR SADLERS BEACH AT BATH

Sadlers Beach was a decisive winner at Bath on Friday in a Class six handicap over a mile and a quarter.

She had shown promise on her seasonal debut at Wolverhampton seventeen days earlier despite racing keenly in the early stages and took a decent step forward as she came clear in the closing stages at Bath despite drifting left handed.

At the line she was two and a quarter lengths ahead of Vin D’Honneur, a previous winner, with Ballet Red half a length away third.

While Sadlers Beach was again quite free on Friday she is progressing nicely and was well on top in the closing stages on her first start on turf.

Given that she won off a modest mark of 49 at Bath there is every chance that she can still be competitive once she is re-assessed by the handicapper.
