FLUENT SUCCESS MISS BLUEBELLE AT BATH
Miss Bluebelle took full advantage of a favourable draw at Bath with a fluent success from the front in a Class 5 handicap over ten furlongs at on Wednesday.
Dougie Costello soon had her at the head of affairs from stall one and they controlled the race from that point before stretching clear to win comfortably by two and a half lengths.
This was the third victory of Miss Bluebelle’s career, her first on turf and Marcus Tregoning was in top form afterwards as he spoke of the mare owned and bred by Sir Thomas Pilkington and the Rogers family.
“She is a big, strapping filly and given her draw it made sense for her to go on. We have been waiting for the ground for her.
“She has now won three times and will win more”, he added.
Tregoning has been pleased with the success of his syndicate horses this year and was full of praise for long serving Whitsbury stalwart David Croft who led up Miss Bluebelle.
A talented work rider, David has been a fixture at Whitsbury since the days of David Elsworth and Desert Orchid, and plays a vital role in helping young staff learn the ropes when they join the yard.
