NEWMARKET VICTORY FOR TASFEEQ
Tasfeeq bounced back to form with a pleasing victory from the front in a competitive Class 4 handicap over a mile at Newmarket on Friday.
Things didn’t go his way at Salisbury sixteen days ago on his first appearance since he was gelded, but he stayed on nicely into fourth place that day after missing a beat by rearing as the stalls opened.
He was much more professional at the start this time and quickly showed ahead towards the far rail.
Jim Crowley was content to maintain a steady rhythm on Tasfeeq who was in command throughout and kept on strongly to hold the persistent challenge of the hat-trick seeking Cosmos Raj by a length and a half.
This was his second success from four starts this season and there would be more to come from the free-going son of Oasis Dream.
