SECOND SUCCESS FOR MEADRAM AND ALICE AT CHELMSFORD
Meadram and my daughter Alice shared a second success at Chelmsford with a cosy victory by a length in a Class 6 handicap over ten furlongs for amateur jockeys at Chelmsford late on Saturday afternoon.
They won at the same track in September and were good value for this latest win off a handicap mark of 62.
Meadram disappointed last time after missing the break at Lingfield but he was smartly away on Saturday and always travelled well just behind the leaders.
Alice was quick to take a gap between the two pacemakers over a furlong out and didn’t need to pick up her whip as she brought Meadram home in front by a length from Curtiz.
She enjoys riding out at Whitsbury whenever she can take a break from her studies at Exeter University and is hoping for more opportunities as the year progresses.
