SECOND VICTORY FOR MISS BLUEBELLE
Miss Bluebelle gained her second victory of the year with a ready success in a strongly contested Class 5 handicap over an extended nine furlongs at Wolverhampton on Monday evening ridden by P J McDonald.
Unraced at two, she has been making up for lost time this year but was much too keen on her previous outing at Chelmsford five weeks ago.
She settled better at Wolverhampton with the help of a first time hood, moved into contention two furlongs out, led on the home turn and galloped on relentlessly to beat the favourite Hooflepuff by three and three quarter lengths.
It was an eye-catching triumph by a filly whose dam Miss Bellbird has produced six winning foals.
Bred and owned by Sir Thomas Pilkington and the Rogers family, Miss Bluebelle is going the right way now and should still be competitive once the handicapper has had his say.
