ATALANTA BREEZE WINS AT BATH
Atalanta Breeze defied a lengthy absence with a pleasing victory on easy ground over ten furlongs in a Class 6 handicap as the light began to fade at Bath on Monday evening.
On her first start for well over ten months she was quickly into stride, always held a prominent position, led just inside the final furlong and kept on well to beat Essgee Nics a shade comfortably by three-quarters of a length.
With an official handicap mark of 55 Atalanta Breeze is campaigning at a modest level but she has a willing attitude and has now won twice ridden on both occasions by Kieran Shoemark.
With the handicapper unlikely to take too harsh harsh view of this narrow success Marcus Tregoning will be hopeful he can again place the four year old mare to advantage in the weeks ahead.
